Every month we score the websites of local trade businesses in West Michigan and publish the ten best in each trade. This is the first list.
We checked 238 websites this month: 25 plumbers, 36 electricians, 25 heating and cooling companies and 152 home builders and remodelers. Each homepage gets a score out of 100 for how easily a customer can find it and use it: whether search engines can read it, whether it loads properly, whether the basics are in place.
If your business is on a list, congratulations. You are doing something most of your competitors are not.
How the lists work
- Only local West Michigan businesses, on their own web address.
- Ranked on score alone. Nobody pays to be listed, and our own clients are scored the same way as everyone else.
- Only the ten best in each trade are named. We don’t publish anyone’s low score.
- We only rank websites we have checked, so each list says how many that was.
